Bread Maker

Recently I have been using my bread machine to make our bread! It turns out, with the price of flour at Costco being $7.50/10 kg, to be cheaper then buying most breads in the grocery store. I found this recipe for Wheat bread over at Tammy's Recipes and have been using it almost every week. I simply put all ingredients together in the machine and hit the dough cycle button. In 1 hour and 3 minutes the dough is done and I put it into a bread pan (or two old coffee cans to make round bread) let it raise then put it into the oven for 30 minutes.

The goodness of homemade bread minus all the work. If you have a bread maker get it out and whip up some bread and if you don't have one start looking around at second hand stores or yard sales this summer!

is it good for sandwich bread? the recipes i've tried in the past have been lovely but a little too....flaky for good loaf bread. I can't seem to recreate anything that doesn't crumb all up.
Advice appreciated!

I love my breadmaker, too. You can make such wonderful loaves with it. I don't know if you ever use the machine to make up the dough, then take it out and shape into rolls, but if you do you MUST try the garlic cheese rolls at my blog; posted under the "bread" category. You will have to control yourself not to eat 5 or 6 of them as they come out of the oven. Happy baking! I can smell the bread from here :)
