Monday Meal Plan
WOW its Monday all ready and since we have been away all weekend I am a little slow with the plan. This is going to be a busy week for our house because we are getting ready for a family camping trip. That means I will be doing a lot of baking this week so we have foods for the trip. If anyone has any great camping recipes or favorite camp snacks please comment and let me know, I would love to hear your ideas.
So far on the camping list to make is
Pita bread
Humus
Baked Tortilla chips
Kitchen Sink Cookies
Ice tea
As for what we are eating it will be a short week for us.
Monday: Friends house for supper
Tuesday: Calzones, salad
Wednesday: Honey garlic ribs, rice and vegetables (Happy 3 rd anniversary to us!!)
Thursday: Clean out the fridge
Friday: Picnic in the car
A great sale this week if you are in NB and drink frozen OJ. Minute Maid is 1.00/ can. This is a great deal as it has gone up in price to $1. 49 for No Name brand.
For great meal plan ideas hope over to organize junkie to check them out. Also she is having a give away so be sure to post your meal plan to enter the draw.

Yum! Looks like a great menu and a great week!
We do a lot of camping and I've posted a few menu ideas and recipes before on my blog specifically for camping, so please feel free to browse! I've also had great results with just googling the term "camp cooking" or "camp breakfast" for easy things like buckwheat pancakes, etc.
On Wednesday of this week I'll be participating in a food carnival for nourishing portable foods (mine focus mostly on breakfasts and lunches to bring to work, but there are some great ideas you can augment for camping) and I have a lot of links lined up for then (plus the other participants will have great ideas too) so check back Wednesday morning for a new post about that very thing!
Hope this helps and have a great day and a great week!
Best,
Sarah
Here's the link to one of the posts about camping . . . we went gourmet this particular weekend, but it might help with some inspiration!
Plus there is a link in there somewhere that links to camp desserts - and there are tons of other recipes on that site as well!

Happy Cooking!

Katie, we just got back from camping at Murray beach. I am going to be doing a few posts on this and how we prepared. We did pancakes one morning and I measured out all the dry ing. in a container and simply added the pre-measured out wet ing. that morning. I put the lid on and shook and poured onto the hot pan. They were awesome. We also had soaked steel cut with cream and brown sugar the next morning. AS far are meals corn on the cob is easy and nice to have outside (no mess) I can't wait to hear how it went. Do you tent?
